1. Read the descriptions and complete the map with the names in bold.

There is a large hospital in the north-west of the town. It is on North Road, near West Drive.

The medical centre is on North Road, near the river. The dental centre is smaller than the medical centre, but just next to it.

There is a big town hall near the river, on the corner of River Way and River Avenue.

There is a school on River Way, near the park. It is a large public building. It has an exit on Broadway Street.

There is a Tesco supermarket on the corner of West Drive and South Road. It is a large modern building, opposite Green Square.

There is a square called King’s Square, between Broadway Street and River Avenue.

Queen’s Park is on Mount Street and Central Avenue between East Drive and Broadway Street. The river goes through it.

There is a library near the town centre, on the corner of River Way and Home Street.

The Brown family live in a house on River Way, opposite the river.

The Smith family live on Central Avenue, opposite Tesco.

The Black family’s house is between the Browns’ house and the Smiths’ house.

There is a post office on Broadway Street, near Central Avenue. It is a medium-size public building opposite a park.

There is a fire station on Mount Street, near the river.

There are three residential buildings on West Drive, in the south of the town: Hillside, Jollyside and Sunside.
Sunside is on South Road, opposite Tesco.. Jollyside is between Hillside and Sunside.

There is a police station on the corner of West Drive and River Way, opposite the hospital.

Pretty Square is between Central Avenue and South Road, near Tesco.

2. Creative activity

There is also a bookshop, a pet shop, a baker and a butcher. Choose a building with no name for each one and describe where it is.
