Global warming is caused by excess greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere. These gases keep heat from the sun trapped in the atmosphere around our planet. The result : temperatures go up.
The consequences of global warming are dangerous for our planet and for our lives : more and more natural disasters like hurricanes, tsunamis, flooding (water everywhere) and the destruction of crops.
Human society makes excess greenhouses gases by using fossil fuels for energy and cutting down forests.
